Speaking of working out...I'm down 1 1/2 lbs. this week. That's the first time I've gone down in weight in months, so I'm going in the right direction.
I'll be off to Parker this weekend for the Centennial celebration of the Town of Parker. Conkie has me a room in the 'Inn' and Muggie says she'll be there with her whole family to celebrate Billie Dick as the Grand Marshall in the Parade. There will be a BBQ at the Fire Dept. afterwards. Then I plan to come on home that evening.

A Love That Will Never Grow Old
Here's a video that helped me understand where Brokeback Mountain fit in my thinking. I played this video over and over and over in the months prior to my coming out to my family and others. It is so poignant and now with Heath's death just plain sad.
However, thanks to Heath's wonderful portrayal of the repressed Ennis del Mar and my identifying with it, friends were able to point out that I could never go back to what I was...and that's the truth.
Life is better now in almost all areas.

The Busy World is Hushed - A Play
Tomorrow I'm working at the Equality Arizona booth at the Roderunner Rodeo.

Equality Arizona Mission
Equality Arizona is the state's largest LGBT civil rights organization working to secure, protect and defend the rights and welfare of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Arizona.
Equality Arizona utilizes a number of strategies such as lobbying; sponsoring bills and opposing negative legislation; building coalitions; and empowering other organizations and individuals to engage in the political process. The Equality Arizona PAC endorses candidates and supports their campaigns through donations and volunteer muscle.
Through programs such as Equality Arizona Radio; Building Bridges and OUTings Series we change hearts and minds to expand the number of fair-minded elected officials in state and local governments. By creating “citizen lobbyists” every individual has the opportunity and responsibility to engage in the political process.

Beyond Brokeback Mountain

Everyone says that to keep in touch we need a blog, so I've decided to create this one. It won't be nearly as good as Alison, Hattie, or Leslie's, but hopefully it will keep us in better contact than email.\
Here's a link to my article in the Tribune: http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/101942 From there you can see the video giving reasons why I wrote it.
Since then I have met several people that I wouldn't have met without the article. One is a gay Mormon HP in the ward just north of mine. He has taken me to plays and meetings that I would have missed without him.
The OP-ED also got me a spot on the radio and led to being a volunteer for Equality Arizona. I'll be working at the AGRA Rodeo this weekend.
Here are some pictures I like:
